Hasegawa 1/48 General Dynamics F-16D Fighting Falcon

14th TFS, 432nd TFW, US Air Force, Japan

The third Falcon in my showcases is this Hasegawa F-16D. The same comments apply as for my F-16N and F-16C, it’s just that I built this one a little better. No aftermarket was used and the only additions are some seatbelts and practise bomb dispensers from a Hasegawa weapon set. Humbrol enamels were the paints used, followed by an oil wash over a coat of Johnson’s Klear. I used one of the kit decal options and a strip of black decal for the canopy frame, which is flaking off and needs reattaching. Humbrol Matt Cote was used to tone the finish down.

Year bought: 1997 (Model Zone, Guildford)
